About
Great technology is made by workers. It’s ruined by quarterly earnings calls.
System Hyperlink is for people who get that.

I’m Xavi, a full-stack developer and stubborn tech optimist, which is just a fancy way of saying I’m a huge nerd who has been building things on the internet for 13 years. I get excited about a good keyboard and its sound. I’m the person in my friend group who gets asked which iPhone to buy, why their apps keep crashing, and whether AI is going to take their job.
That tension is what this publication is about.
I’m not here to dunk on Apple. I’m also not here to defend them. I think the products are genuinely great and the company that makes them is genuinely worth scrutinizing—both are true. Honest coverage means talking about the profit motive, labor practices, App Store politics, and antitrust fights. Not instead of the reviews. Alongside them.
Every week, you’ll get a short podcast and newsletter covering the 4–5 things that caught my attention about Apple, PKM and knowledge work, geek culture, and the corners of the independent web worth knowing about. Throughout the week, link posts on what I’m reading, watching, and thinking through.
If you love this stuff and still read the fine print, you’re in the right place.
Subscribe below. The newsletter goes out on June 12th and every Friday after that.
